Overview & Reviews
An all-new model last year, the Toyota FJ Cruiser rolls into 2008 with minimal changes. Last year's optional side and side-curtain airbags are now standard. The TRD Special Edition model is no more, but much of its additional equipment is now contained in a new off-road package.
- Impressive off-road ability, distinctive interior and exterior styling, comfortable front seats, strong crash test scores.
- Limited visibility fore and aft, cramped rear seat with impeded entry and exit.

FJ, best all around family vehicle - 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser
By Jami S - December 9 - 1:13 amSince 2007 I had been looking at the FJ but was not willing to pay the price. I read reviews and did my research for nearly a year. I love this vehicle. It drives great, handles great for the vehicle type, and it has very good power to get up & go. It is a very capable off-road vehicle. I have had it off-road on some rough trails and the FJ performed like a champ. Visibility is not that bad and it is something you can get adjusted to. The suspension is nice a tight and provides plenty of confidence on the road. Also, regular unleaded fuel is acceptable to use. My dealership stated this and so does Toyota. Gas mileage is not bad considering. Plenty of room for a family of 5 on any occasion.

By drummz54 - August 17 - 6:30 pmBought the 2008 FJ Trails Team edition. Love the color and black wheels. A real head turner. Good performance and very comfortable ride for an off-road SUV. Fuel economy around 19 - 20 mpg. Not bad!

By Patrick Goungo - April 6 - 2:23 pmThis vehicle is only for young people. If you have infants or small kids, very bad for them, no room.

FJ 4x2 - 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser
By kanayon - December 27 - 1:06 pmPROS: fun to drive, performs best with premium gas, retro styling. CONS: inconvenient suicide doors, limited rearward visibility but over-all styling is A+, notwithstanding above-mentioned negatives.

The Best Choice For A Real SUV 4x4!!! - 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser
By Marianne - December 12 - 10:30 amI looked for 3 months at SUVs and I always came back to the fj. It was big purchase for me because I wanted a vehicle that was going to be truly reliable and not in the repair shop all the time and I have worked previous at 2 GM dealerships, even all my mechanic friends give it 2 thumbs up! Ive driven in some pretty crazy 4x4 zones with it and its performed excellent, and a truly fun truck to drive. I dont find the blind spot a big deal and everyone that has sat in the backseat has found it easy to enter and exit. I would suggest to all, to take one for a test drive. They grow on you... they are a different driving experience and different is good from the norm.
